Inflation hasn't really affected us too much, but it could, so we might as well add to that stash while we can still affored to buy fabric! :)Shannon Wallacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15858693364105977689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21409904.post-6457262875892903042011-12-14T11:38:45.627-05:002011-12-14T11:38:45.627-05:00I have such a huge stash I don't know if I can...I have such a huge stash I don't know if I can ever use it all or will want to use some of it. My goal for this next year is to use a lot of it up...purchase less, and then hopefully be able to purchase for the project. I worked in a quilt shop for about 3 years and I never brought home a paycheck...pretty much had to pay them to work there. :)Kristen Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09780968814722069390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21409904.post-6945572213577579922011-12-12T13:00:38.588-05:002011-12-12T13:00:38.588-05:00The stash is like extreme couponing- a MUST! my st...The stash is like extreme couponing- a MUST! my stash is my security blanket! ANd, since I started quilting this year, it has been going down, so I get to buy new fabrics next month and start all over again!Agnes B. And guess what.. it feels GREAT to be using that fabric up! My dear quilting teacher (70) went through her sewing studio a year or so ago and pulled out two plastic garbage bags full of high quality quilting cottons and gave away.. why? because she was, all these years, building her stash. She still has tons of fabric.. but she did narrow it down some. I sort of took that as a bit of wisdom. Use what you have, but as you need. Or you might end up with stuff that no longer suits your taste. <br />Merry Christmas!Trails of Gracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14063324287221615115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21409904.post-12900994410251786522011-12-08T15:51:46.075-05:002011-12-08T15:51:46.075-05:00that's so neat, I really want that DIE!! what ...that's so neat, I really want that DIE!! what blog hop are YOU talking about, can you send a link??beaquilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09854296867039522197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21409904.post-644756606071803232011-12-08T14:53:16.054-05:002011-12-08T14:53:16.054-05:00That is a very pretty quilt Katrina. You are sure ...That is a very pretty quilt Katrina. You are sure getting lots of sewing done. Congratulations. I like that you are telling new quilting to buy for their projects. You still build up a stash but at least it isn't as huge as the fabric I ended up with. I am making placemats for meals on wheels (250) of them this year. It hardly makes a dent in my xmas stash. I should do a tumbler quilt too. Maybe if Santa brings me a GO....susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12847873740956347807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21409904.post-32598870515600252742011-12-08T14:43:49.237-05:002011-12-08T14:43:49.237-05:00I do both, but I try to use up my stash and my scr...I do both, but I try to use up my stash and my scraps as much as possible.
